Catch-e Pty Limited was started in September 2002 by Gray Quinn and Ian Rawlings as a result of immediate demand for a hosted Australian web-based fleet management and leasing solution.
They saw the internet as the perfect delivery system for Catch-e and combined, they had the skills to develop a fleet management, leasing and salary packaging system.
They were excited by the challenge of building a web based system that would enable customers to access their information from anywhere and liberate them from the shackles of computing, buying hardware and paying for licenses and manage system upgrades.
For themselves, they saw an opportunity to work in a virtual environment and improve their work/life balance. A chance to create the kind of workplace they wanted for themselves and their staff.
Ian manages customer and feature requirements and company administration.
He has worked in a range of technical and commercial roles. He first gained fleet management experience at PL Lease Management as their Financial Controller and later as IT Manager. He played a key role in the acquisition and data migration to EsandaFleet Partners where he then worked as their Head of Information Technology.
He enjoys a glass of red in the great outdoors; bush walking, sea kayaking and skiing.
Ian has a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) from Monash University and a Masters of E-commerce from Deakin University and is a member of CPA Australia.
Gray leads the development team and also looks after system infrastructure and DRP. More importantly, Gray sets the technical direction of Catch-e by identifying new trends on the internet and new technologies to leverage and benefit our customers.
He was a developer for the widely used Kerridge fleet leasing and dealership systems in the United Kingdom in the 1990s and then returned to Australia, where he continued to support and develop fleet leasing software firstly for Lease Management Systems (LMS) and then on his own account.
He is passionate about the internet and the benefits it can deliver and is a huge supporter of open source software.
Sandra takes responsibility for sales, marketing and customer training. But like all Catch-e staff, she also contributes to testing, customer support and product development.
She began her working life as an accountant and was the Financial Controller at PL Lease Management for 3 years. There she played a key role in the company's acquisition by Esanda Fleet Partners where she then worked in IT and Operations for 5 years before joining Catch-e in 2008.
She loves mountain biking when she has time out from raising two small children.
Sandra has a Diploma of Accounting from AUT University and became a Chartered Accountant with the NZICA. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Mt Eliza Business School.
